Less Ugly Dark Circles
I consider myself lucky – I have always had great skin. Never had an acne problem (save for the occasional hormonal pimple), no redness issues, my skin is an olive tone so I don’t even get sunburned. But as I get older, my “problem area” is emerging – my eyes. Dark circles now reside where tight, luminescent skin once lived. Shadows have replaced highlights; and no matter what I’ve tried (and I’ve tried everything, believe me), nothing has gotten rid of them – or even faded them for that matter.
Avoid “Sticky Situations”
We’ve all been there. You’re interviewing for a big new job, or you have to do an important client presentation at work, make a toast at a friend’s wedding or even stand up in front of the class. All eyes are on you, and that’s when it starts: uncontrollable, nervous sweating. The beads form on your brow, they trickle down your nose and the wet stains start to form in your armpits. It’s like that scene in Broadcast News where Albert Brooks has to be the anchor. Anyone got a ShamWow® handy?
Just because I’m 40 doesn’t mean my skin has to look that way
With my big 4-0 approaching, I decided I needed to “up the ante” a bit on my anti-aging skincare regimen. I had tried a medical microdermabrasion treatment at a med spa, which, although slightly irritating to my skin after, improved it overall. But a single one of these treatments can cost upwards of $100 and it has to be repeated with some frequency to see real results.
